Geographical Distribution

A deciduous tree that have white and pink flowers blooming in March and stone-fruit maturating in July. Fruits are for eating and for medinical use. Trees can be cultivated for furit-bearing and landscaping tree.

Designation Background

They are pure and highly dignified flowers which bloom with the coming of new spring and they are flowers that bring hopes for the future. They are productive as well as originative flowers as landscaping and fruit bearing plants. Their loftiness and originality symbolize the spirits of the county people and they are widely distributed throughout the `gun` region.

Geographical Distribution

Evergreen five-leaved tree indigenous to Korea with needle-shaped leaves, which blooms and bears fruits in the following year. Grows in deep and fertile soils nationwide, except for coastal area. Used as forestation tree, timber and constructions.

Designation Background

With superior lumber quality, these trees occupies over 73% of the county area and they contribute towards increased earnings through mountainous region development.

Designation Background

Wing length of approximately 18cm and black in color from head to back area. It nests on big trees near villages. The bird is known to exterminate harmful insects by feeding on them from spring to fall near human habitation. They are suspicious birds that bring luck and good news.
